Grade Eleven English: Complete Grapes of Wrath study guide 19-30.

Mr. Gordon
Grade Nine History: Complete final draft of Paper by Wednesday. Also prepare notebooks for notebook check.
Grade Eleven History: Complete final draft of paper by Friday.

Mr. Virgin
Grade Six through Eight English: Do vocab sentences and look up definitions.

All students should be studying for finals in all classes.

Announcements and Assignments for Friday

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope you are all well.

Please remember that next weeks schedule is as follows:
Monday: Memorial Day Holiday No Classes
Tuesday: Last full day for B Day; Spring Performance at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday: Last full day for A Day
Thursday: Final Exams for Foreign Language, History, and English. Students are released at 1:00 p.m.
Friday: Final Exams for Mathematics and Science: Students are released at 11:00 a.m. Graduation and Award Ceremonies at 7:00 p.m.

Please also remember that we have a half day this Friday with all the classes meeting for 40 minutes.

We have signed up to participate in Brainstorm for the second year in a row.

We have joined the Charter Athletic Association. More information will follow on our sports teams.

We had an outstanding first meeting of our school Parent Organization. More details will follow.

Our next open houses for new students will be June 6 and June 13.

Please remember that we have a raffle on the evening of our performances on May 26. Tickets are a dollar. There are two ways to win. The person who sells the most tickets will receive ten percent of the earnings. A person with the winning raffle ticket will win 50 percent of the earnings. The School winnings will go towards Grand Canyon Prep extracurricular activities. Refreshments will also be sold.

Tomorrow is also the party for the Middle School students who won the penny drive this year.

Please remember that our Awards and Graduation Ceremonies will be held at 7:00 p.m. We are proud to have Corey Woods of the Tempe City Council as our guest speaker.

We hope you are all well.

The Grade Eight Students have won the annual penny drive. Congratulations.

Tomorrow is 80's day for Spirit Week.

Please remember that Friday is a half day and we are closed for Memorial Day on Monday.

Please remember our spring performance is on the evening of May 26 at 7:00 p.m. There is no admission but we are selling raffle tickets for a dollar each where the winner will receive fifty percent and the school will put the other half towards extracurricular activities. You may also purchase raffle tickets ahead of time from Mrs. Gordon.

We will have two new Student of the Years when we hold our Award and Graduation Ceremonies on May 29 at 7:00 p.m.

The Governing Board met this afternoon and approved the 2009/10 School Year. Please check our web site under the calendar link for details.

The Penny Drive is over and Mrs. Gordon will announce the winners next week.

Announcements and Assignments for Thursday

We hope every one is well.

Please remember that tomorrow is the last day for the Penny Drive. It is also the last day to submit the permission slips for Sun Splash. Please remember that students that have a grade of below a C in any one class the day before the trip will not be allowed to go.

Please remember that tomorrow is a half day. We will also have a Governing Board Meeting to consider the Revised Budget for this school year and the calendar for the next one. The meeting starts at the school at 1:30 p.m.

Please remember to pay your second semester fees and submit (if applicable) your summer school application. The Robotics Camp will now be held at A.S.U.

Please remember that we have an open house for new students on Saturday from 10: 00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please tell family and friends about the great program we offer.
