Announcements for March 30,2005

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope every one is well.

Mr. Boothe should be back next week. He sends his thanks for all the warm thoughts that have been expressed by the students.

Until Mr. Boothe come back, the field trip that was originally scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until a later time to be announced.

We want to thank the following Science Portfolio Students who have just finished applying for three $10,000 Science education grants to SRP. The students are James Atherton, Jared Haden, Angela Spadafino, Cory Milford, Howard Lanus, Nathan Hatch, Ryan Turpin, and Joshua VanEnwyck. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT JOB.

The North Central Association will be paying us a visit on Friday April 1, 2005 to go over our School Improvement Plan. I would like to thank the Site Based Council (Mr. Harmon, Ms. Foy, Mrs. Houston, Mr. Boothe, Mr. Gordon, Chamarie, Angela, Kiya, Al, and Amanda) for all their hard work and particiaption on helping the school move forward.

Congrats to the following honor roll recepiants: Nichole VanEnwyck, Angela Spadafino, Howard Lanus, Joseph Spadafino, James Atherton, Cory Milford, Alfred Gable, Josh VanEnwyck, Lizzie Barnes, Amanda Alcala, and Gaby Ritter.

The following honor roll students are eligible for a laptop computer at the beginning of next year: Amanda Alcala, Cory Milford, and Joseph Spadafino.

The following students are eligible for $250 stipends towards college next year: Nichole Van Enwyck, Angela Spadafino, Howard Lanus, and James Atherton.

As part of the new incentive program, students who are on the honor roll at least one quarter will get a $50 stipend towards college.

Law class has current events due and U.S History/Government is preparing a debate on Environmental waste

Dear Parents and Guardians

We hope every one is well.

The Neighborhood meeting at the new site went well. While only two people came, we are confident that this means the neighborhood does not have any objections to our move.

Governing Board Meeting on Thursday at 2:45. All are welcome to attend.

Law class has an assignment on Euthanasia: Four Paragraph essay on what does the law in Arizona say about a persons right to die and what legal rights does a spouse or parent have in carrying out an incapacitated persons' wishes.

Welcome back from spring break. Third Quarter Report Cards will be handed to students on Thursday. There will a half day on Friday in obeservance of Good Friday.

Announcements for March 3, 2006

Dear Parents and Guardians,

There will be a half day on both Thursday March 10 and Friday March 11. On Thursday we will have a site based council meeting and curriculum meeting. Our plan is to have them at the new site. On Friday, we will have a half day to celebrate the wedding between Gwyn and myself.

Assignments for Tuesday:

Work on Japanese and Spanish

Law: Legal Current Event and four paragraph essay on whether teenagers should receive the death penalty if they commit first degree murder.

U.S. History: Bring in current even on United States region.
