Announcements and Assignments for Thursday

Dear Parents and Guardians

We hope every one is well and are initially impressed with our program and staff.

We gave interested students fliers to the YMCA who will be providing swimming and other activities this year. We wish to know by Friday who is interested in participating. We know there has been considerable interest in swimming.

This is the drop/add week for schedules. No other changes (except in extreme situations) will be made after Friday. Students wishing to change a core Math class or transfer from a Foreign Language at this time will need parent permission. We did shift three middle school students from Spanish to Sci Fi Lit today because the course had overflowed. We also had to close Law and Dance as electives because there was not enough interest in those areas at this time. They will be offered again at another time.

Please remember our new lunch menus are Pizza on Monday and Friday and Subway on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Subway menus have been given to the students and Pizza ones will be handed out on Thursday. Money for lunch should be given to Mrs. Gordon by 8:00 a.m. (instead of 8:30 a.m. as previously noted) so the sandwiches/pizzas can be ordered promptly.

People interested in the Japan trip will be given preliminary information on Thursday. The trip is planned for our Spring Break in 2008.

Assignments for Thursday:
Japanese: Complete sheets
Public Policy and Sci Fi Lit: Complete paragraphs
