AIMS Schedule for April 7 through 11 and assignments for Wednesday

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope you are all well and had a great weekend.

Here is the AIMS Schedule from April 7 through 11. All testing will start at 9:00 a.m. One Hundred Percent Attendance is mandatory.

Monday April 7:
Grade 6-8 Writing proctored by Mr. Slusser and Mr. Gordon with Mr. Crawford later in room one and two
Grade 9 Terra Nova proctored by Mr. Virgin and Mr. Gordon with Mr, Crawford later in room one and two
Grade 10 and designated 11/12 students in Math Review with Mr. Harmon in room five
School Released at 11:00 a.m.


Tuesday April 8
Grade 6-8 Reading and Math Part One proctored by Ms. Domanik and Mr. Gordon in room one and two
Grade 9 Terra Nova proctored by Mr. Virgin and Mr. Crawford in room one and two
Grade 10 and designated 11/12 students: High School Math proctored by Mr. Slusser and Mr. Harmon in room five
Mr. Grago and Ms. Ratliff will substitute 11/12 graders.
School Released at 11:00 a.m.


Wednesday April 9
Grade 9 and whoever is in Biology: High School Science proctored by Ms. Domanik and Mr. Virgin in room five. Mr. Harmons class will be in room three
Grade 6-8 Reading and Math Part Two proctored by Mr. Slusser and Mr. Gordon in rooms one and two
This is a full day


Thursday April 10
Grade 6-8 Reading and Writing Part Three proctored by Mr. Slusser and Mr. Gordon. Mrs. Ratliff in rooms one and two will substitute Sci Fi Lit along with Spanish One.
This is a full day


Friday April 11
Grade Eight Science proctored by Miss Domanik and Mr. Gordon in rooms one and two. Mr. Virgin will substitute for Ms. Domanik in Biology during first hour. Mr. Slussers class will be in room four.
This is a full day

Announcements and Assignments for Tuesday

Dear Parents and Guardians,

WE HOPE YOU ARE ALL WELL.

THIRD QUARTER REPORT CARDS ARE OUT. THE NEW THIRD QUARTER HONOR ROLL IS LISTED ON THE BLOG. THE TOP THREE STUDENTS ARE Angela Spadafino (97.60), Barbara Stage (97.57), and Howard Lanus (96.60). Below C calls should have been made today. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a conference. We may contact some families for conferences.

Student of the Year Nominees will be released next week.

Students who are still eligible for the laptop incentive are Barbara Stage, Clifford Alexander, Camille Alexander, Caitlin Whitaker, Alyssa Brimacombe, Phillip Whitaker, Pure Sangkhum, Brook Leek, Kyla McDonald,and Russel Del Mar. Students need to remain on the honor roll and be present for the first 40 days of the 2008/09 school year.

We hope every one is well and had a great spring break.

Please remember that Thursday is a half day and we are off on Friday for teacher in service.

Grand Canyon Prep is featured in the school section of Tempe Town News with a picture of the members of the Grand Canyon Community who have journeyed to Japan. They will be back home tomorrow afternoon.

There is an open house for new students on Saturday March 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Third Quarter Report Grades will be released Tuesday, March 25.

We hope you are all well and had a great weekend.

The Third Quarter ends on Friday. Spring Break will start after Friday and continue into next week. Classes will resume on Monday March 17. Third Quarter Report Cards will be released on Tuesday March 25.

We are very excited that our second trip overseas will start on March 10 with Dave Grago leading Mr. Crawford, Camille and Clifford Alexander, Alyssa Brimacombe, Bobby Diaz, Leo Nico, and Rosie Virgin on a nine day trip to Japan.

There will be a trip to Washington D.C. in the spring break of 2009 and to Italy and Spain during the summer.
