Announcements and Assignments for August 15, 2005

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope every one is well. The staff and I are extremely pleased with the first day of school which has been the best in recent memory.

The students did very well in orientation as we went over the academic and behavior policies of the school. We played particular emphasis to all the dress code guidelines which we expect all students to adhere to tomorrow.

The students also told us what they wanted to do for extracurricular activities and we will be tabulating that today and tomorrow.

Assignments for August 15
World History IV: Get beginning and ending dates for World War One and Two: Watch the news and report on a current event.

World History III: Tell the class why Oliver Cromwell, Martin Luther (not King), and Copernicus are important to World History.

World History V: Bring in a current event article of national or international importance.

Mrs. Houstons' Algebra One: Chapter One: every other even problem.

Mc Donalds is for lunch tomorrow.

Friday August 19 is a half day. We get out at 11:00 a.m. as the staff goes into an inservice.

Please call if there questions on any school matter. Take care.
