Announcements for October 8, 2005

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope everyone has a great Columbus Day weekend. Please remember that school will resume on Tuesday October 11.

The school is sponsoring a food and gift drive for impoverished children. Please help.

The school is expanding its library selection and would like your assistance. We are in need of History, Government, Literature, and Science books. We are also in need of VHS tapes and DVDS in those same areas. We will be able to credit the donated items as tax credits for next year.

It is not too late to donate money to the school and receive a tax credit. Married couples may donate up to $300 and single families may donate up to $250. Please help out your school.

The Public Policy class is sponsoring a leadership training trip to Prescott on November 9, 10, and 11. November 9 is now a half day. Permission slips will be going out to selected students on Tuesday. We will need registration materials by October 20.

The Public Policy class is also filiming a commercial this week on preventing the rate of school drop outs. We would like your assistance and kindly ask that each family donate $20 towards the production costs.

On Tuesday, October 11, we will be taking selected students to Mesa Community College to preregister for their Dual Credit classes.

Miss Foy has passed out brochures for School Pictures.

The school will be taking its first field trip to the Heard Museum on 10/20.

Quarterly examinations are this coming school week. The end of the quarter is on Friday October 14.

Please advise if there are any questions. Take care.
