We hope every one had an excellent weekend.

Speeches by those running for school office will occur at the beginning of third hour tomorrow.

Information meeting for those students interested in traveling to Italy in June, 2007 will be held after the assembly. Parents and Guardians of interested students and who would like to chaperone are welcome to attend as well.

Please remember this Friday is a half day and we are off Monday September 5 for Labor Day. Periods one and two will meet on Friday.

Earth Science:Chapter Two: Questions 1-17; Short Essay (1-2 paragraphs) on defining the three main subdivisions of Earth. Should have a definition and examples of each.Needs to be in your own words. Do not copy from the book.

Grade 8 English: Complete Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting the main character (Drew) and yourself. There must be at least three entries in each section of the diagram. They have to be full sentences.

Grade 6 and 7 English: Complete at least a rough draft of the first three entries in your autobiography project. This will be graded for completion and peer edited on Monday.

Announcements and Assignments for Friday, August 18

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The teachers are very happy with the attitude and enthusiasm of the students this first week as our tenth anniversary has gotten off to a great start.

Next week we will discuss extracurricular activities and the year end trip to Italy. We did distribute flyers to the students if they were interested in enrolling in the YMCA after school sports programs. Please contact the YMCA for more information.

PSAT information has been distributed to all juniors interested in taking the test. Please go over it with them as the test is in October. After school tutoring opportunities will be made available upon demand. Families with children in twelfh grade may be telephoned and asked to come in if we have not discussed their child's plans for after graduation.
