Announcments and Assignments for Wednesday
Dear Parenst and Guardians,
We hope you are all well and had a good weekend.
SECOND QUARTER PROGRESS REPORT CARDS ARE OUT. PLEASE ADVISE IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS.
Please do not forget that we are conducting a food, clothes, and toy drive for the students at Pappas. Please help out.
Please do not forget that we are still accepting donations to the school and you may receive a tax credit from the state for them.
The Governing Board met on Friday and voted on the following revisions to the dress code that will go into effect immediately after we return from winter break. We feel that these revisions will eliminate most of the remaining issues with the interpretation of the dress code that both teachers and students have. The following revisions are:
1) Uniforms will be worn five days a week. This will start the first Friday that we return from winter break.
2) There are to be no more revealing undershirts and they are to be tucked in at all times. That include long shirts. This will start the first Monday we return from winter break.
3) A newsletter will be sent out by Wednesday with an order form for Grand Canyon approved sweaters and jackets. Students that want them need to order them by Thursday December 20. They will be available no later than January 15 and they are the only jackets and sweaters that will be allowed.
Furthermore, the core teachers will now require one core one inch binder for each core subject (History, English, Math, Foreign Language, and Science). Students need to learn organization. Spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper, and hole punched folders may be placed in the binders. This will go into effect the first day we return from winter break.
We also ask that all art students next semester please contribute $30 for supplies.
