Announcements and Assignments for Friday

We hope you are all well.

Please remember to submit your fees for February if you have not already done so. Students in grades six through eight do not have to pay the Tempe YMCA. We have left a message with them to bill us for students in grades six through eight.

Assignments for Friday

Biology: 1) RNA reinforcement and 2) Practice
Anatomy: 1) Heartbeats Lab 2) Lung Capacity Lab and 3) Connections and Relationships lab.

Grade Ten English: Obama letters are due by Monday. Sonnets are due by Friday and Vocab test is on Friday.
Grade 12 English: Vocab test
Grade 11 English: Review/ Finish Forgotten Fire and Vocab Test
Grade Nine English: Vocab test on Friday and Coat of Arms.

Grade Nine History: Please complete two paragraph assignment on the Missionary Routes of Paul.
Grade Twelve History: Please complete two paragraph assignment on How the Arabs, Vietnamese, and Germans were treated at the Peace Conferences following World War One.

M.S. Science: Complete review questions and study for Astronomy Test
Grade 6/7 History: Two Paragraphs: Why were the Boers and British fighting over South Africa? What was the outcome?

If you do not receive a passing grade (above 70 %) on the test last Friday, you will need to pick a review time to come and see me. The times are Monday (2/2), Wed (2/4) and Friday (2/6) at 11:10, 2:35, 2:50, and 3:05. Sign up will be on Friday January 30 before and after school. It is first come first serve. If you do not pick up a time on Friday, I will be assigning you a time.
Optional for all of Mr. Smiths Math Classes: Rewrite missed problems for extra credit due on Friday.

Grade Eight English: Read Chapters 13-17 of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurs Court and do worksheets on proofreading, commas, prepositions, and compare/contrast.
Grade Ten History: Current Events: Focus on England; write a biography of two paragraphs on Queen Mary who ruled before Elizabeth I.
Grade Eight History: During Jimmy Carters 39th President: List who were the leaders of England, France, Russia, Germany, and Egypt.
Grade Six/ Seven English: Read chapters three to five of Old Yeller and do worksheets and proofreading, commas, prepositions, and compare/contrast.
