Announcements and Assignments for Wednesday

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope every one is well and had a great weekend.

We are very happy to announce that there has been improvement on the performance of our sophomore students on the 2008/09 Reading and Writing AIMS tests from last year. Special congratulations to Clifford Alexander, Cameron Hill, Bentzi Kielsky, and D.J. Owsley for scoring in the exceeds category on either Reading or Writing. Thank you also to Mrs. Burnquist and Mr. Virgin for providing great instruction to the students. We have let most students know who scored what and we will be releasing reports later in the week.

There are winners in the Science Fair and they will be announced at the assembly at the end of the half day on May 8. Thank you to Ms. Domanik, Mr. Harmon, and Mr. Milton for judging all the contestants and holding them to high standards for performance. Pictures of the exhibit will be on our web site soon.

Please remember that Friday is a half day.

Please remember that we have an open house for new students on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The school will be hosting a party at Skateland on Saturday May 9. We hope you can attend. We will also be sending out permission slips for Sunsplash in the coming days and we will have Spirit Week starting on May 18.

There will be a meeting of athletic teams in the next couple of weeks. Details will come forth soon.
