Additional Announcements for Tuesday, October 12

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Hope every one is well. Please remember that school is on all this week after today and we will not have another holiday until November 11 and 12 for Veterans Day.

October 12: Board Meeting at 2:45. We will be approving the Annual Financial Report, minutes from previous board meetings, expenses, and a declaration of curriculum alignment for Department of Education.

October 12: Extra Credit Opportunity: Students may be released half an hour early tomorrow if they go to Arizona State and listen to former Middle East Ambassador Dennis Ross and his lecture on the Modern Middle East. Students will have to prepare a two page type written summary of the talk to receive 25 points of extra credit. The lecture is being held at the Main Hall of the College of Law. Parking is available at the Visitors Lot across the street.

October 13: PSAT for Juniors

October 13: Presidential Debate at ASU. There are pre and post debate rallies for both President Bush and Senator John Kerry. This would be a unique opportunity to get involved in the Presidential Race. President Bush will be at Bank One and Senator Kerry will at Tempe Town Lakes. There is extra credit in this to if you go and prepare a one page summary of the event and produce your ticket as evidence you attended.

October 15: End of First Quarter and Student/Staff Pictures

October 16: Earth Day at ASU
Italian Day at Tempe Town Lakes

October 17: College Fair at Phoenix Civic Plaza from 12:00 to 4:00
