HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM ALL OF US AT GRAND CANYON PREP
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians.
We hope you are all well.
We the staff at Grand Canyon Prep want to wish every one Happy Holidays and a safe and prosperous New Year.
We are very happy with our students' achievements during the first semester and are excited with their potential accomplishments in the second. This last semester at Grand Canyon Prep, students earned over 20 hours of college credit. We mentored and assisted homeless children at the Pappas school. Our Drama and Music students delivered stellar performances at this years winter recitals. In March, Mr.Grago will lead five of our students to Japan.
Please remember that next semester, uniforms are to be worn five days a week and there are to be no more revealing undershirts. Furthermore, only Grand Canyon approved and embroidered sweaters or jackets may be worn.
We also have a new binder requirement. We strongly prefer a half inch binder for each class but understand that this will probably be a gradual work in progress and we under stand if there are multiple subjects in larger binders. Mr. Slusser and Ms. Domanik definitely will require one half inch binders for their courses. We want students to improve their organizational skills. Please contact us if there are any questions.
The school will be closed from 12:30 today until January 1, 2008. Classes resume on January 7. Students have been given their second semester schedules. Please review them with your child. There are several students who have been placed in Mystery/Suspense Literature and Math Prep in order to help them with their skills in mathematics and language arts.
Remember that there are one time semester fees for Art, Animation, Mystery Literature, and Science Fiction Literature of $30.00.
We look forward to seeing every one next semester. To those who are moving, we wish them well. The staff is very excited and we are already planning for the 2008/09 school year where program will be expanded further and a trip to Italy and Spain is being planned.
Again, Happy Holidays and we will see you on January 7. Classes start at 8:00 a.m. Take care.
