Announcements and Assignments for Monday

Dear Parents and Guardians

We hope you are all well.

For students in grades six through ten, please sign their weekly planners.

League of Students will meet during lunch on Monday

PSAT Math tutoring will be after school on Monday.

Drama Club will meet on Monday and Friday.

Odyssey of the Mind will meet after school on Tuesday. We want to thank and acknowledge the efforts of Mrs. Nichol in bringing this club to life. Please join us. It will be fun.

Chess/Gaming club will meet after school on Wednesday

Global Night will be held on Wednesday evening September 24 to discuss the trips to Japan and Italy/Spain.

Robotics Club will meet on Thursday. We want to thank and acknowledge the efforts of Mr. Brimacombe in adding the idea and the time of constructing the Lost in Space Robot. Please join this exciting club. You can be in both the club and the Robotics course or one or the other.

Families of Students whose grades are at the A level or below a C will be called on Friday September 26. There will be a half day on September 30 so families can meet with instructors. More information will follow.

Assignments for Monday
Ms. Somanik
Biology: Complete 1) Tragedy of the Commons and 2) How the Ecosystem works by 9/22. Study Guide and Test are on 9/24.
Human Anatomy: Complete Integumentary Reinforcement

Ms. Burnquist
Grade 12 English: Complete Mission Statement if not done yet.
Grade 12 History: Complete Chart: Pros/Cons for crossing the 38th Parallel.
Grade 11 English: Finish All Quiet on the Western Front (chapters 9-12) and complete study guide.
Grade 11 History: Review study guides and film focal points . Test on Monday and bring Puppet Making supplies.

Mr. Virgin
Grade Ten English: Read chapters five and six of the Coffee Trader for quiz on Monday. Hand in worksheet on Prepositional Phrases on Monday.
Grade Ten History: Bring in a picture of Islamic Art.
Grade Nine English: Read Book Three of the Iliad and hand in worksheet on verb phrases.
Grade Nine History: Bring in Symbols of Early Egyptian Gods.

Mr. Smith
Pre Algebra: Finish gathering survey results and write one paragraph summary of their procedure (Write up what they did for the project)
Algebra One: Finish redoing missed answers on the test NOTE TO PARENTS: THEY WILL BE MAKING UP THE TEST GRADE THROUGH REDOING MISSED PROBLEMS AND SUBSEQUENT QUIZ NEXT WEEK.
Grade Eight History: Read page 653-658, take notes, and complete questions 1-5 and 7-8 on page 658.

Mr. Milton
Grades 6-8 Science: Study for chapter two test.
Grades 6-8 English: Finish books and pick essay question.
Grade 6/7 History: Write a paragraph on the hardships women suffered during the Civil War.
