Announcements and Assignments for August 17, 2005

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope you are well.

We have found a Music Teacher. Her name is Candice Mitchell. She has over 30 hours in Music and is also employed by the Mesa Arts Center. She should start with us on Tuesday.

Subway sandwiches tomorrow. Ham, Tuna, Roast Beef, or Turkey at $3.00 each.

Half day on Friday. Classes end at 11:00 a.m.

We had an assembly on extracurricular activities today and informed students that extracurricular activities will start next week.

We will also be conducting Student Council elections on September 6. The positions are Student Body President and Senate representatives for grades 6/7, 8, 9, 10, and 11/12.

Assignments for Friday/Monday
Mrs. Houstons Algebra 1 class: Chapter Two: Even and Chapter Three 8, 10, 12, and 14.
Mr. B's Math classes: Complete Handout.

World History Classes: Bring current event articles and complete writing assignments.

United States History/Government: complete writing assignment and summarize 13, 14, and 15 Amendments.

Chemistry: page 23 1-12 but skip 3.

World Literature III: Find an eighteenth century novel.

The other English classes have to create a story from illustrations and photos.
